Saves Homes Portability Transfer is available once you have sold a primary residence in Florida and purchase another primary residence in Florida. The accumulated difference between the assessed value and the just (market) value of the sold property is the SOH benefit. This allows you to take a portion or all of the SOH benefit to your new primary residence to reduce the property taxes on the new property.
